Telangana Sheep Distribution Scheme Objectives

As is well known, Golla and Kurma communities are economically disadvantaged groups. Because of this, this community faces a lot of discrimination and other issues. So the Telangana government came up with a solution.

The Telangana government has set up the Telangana Sheep Distribution Scheme keeping this in mind. According to the plan, all communities and each of the targeted area will receive one card, which will strengthen the rural economy.

The main objective of establishing this program is to improve the socio-economic status of the community.

• K. Chandrashekhar Rao inaugurated the program on June 20, 2017.
• Under this view, Golla and Kurma would have sheep.
• The government will pay 75% and the acquirer will pay 25%.
• The Telangana Sheep Distribution Scheme aims to enable Golla and Kurma villages to develop their roller economy.
• The Government spent Rs. 10,000 for their economic and social empowerment.
• The program distributed 3,665,000 sheep.

• To be eligible, a candidate must be a long-term resident of the state of Telangana.
• A member of the Kuruma or Yadava caste, the candidate must also be at least 18 years of age and belong to that caste
