The concerned authorities of the Telangana government have launched the Telangana Rythu Vedika Scheme to address the issues faced by the farmers of the state.

The Chief Minister of Telangana State inaugurated the Telangana Rythu Vedika Scheme at the district headquarters of Kodakandla in Jangaon district on 31 October 2020.

This program will bring farmers on a platform to help them achieve higher profit margins. More Telangana Rythu Vedika Scheme will be established in the state to help the farmers. This will be a very laudable step for the farmers of Telangana state.

Objective Of Rythu Vedika Scheme

The main objective of the scheme is to maximize benefits to farmers who are struggling to get good returns due to the coronavirus pandemic. Farmers also have no place to quickly consider issues of increased profitability

but now this scheme will provide beneficiaries with more seasonal altars so that they can address issues related to their farming activities.

Also Telangana is the only state that buys paddy directly from farmers which will also help them in the long run. The program brings farmers together to raise their voices on some issues that are really bad for their business and their farms.

Implementation Of Telangana Rythu Vedika Scheme

• The Telangana state government plans to build around 2,601 ritu vedis in the state.
• Some 1,580 of these seasonal altars were completed on October 30,
• The Telangana government has allocated Rs. 572.22 crore towards the total construction cost of Rs. 2.2 million per Rithu Vedika.
• The total cost is approx. 12 lakh will be filled by the Department of Agriculture
• The balance is Rs. 10 lakhs will be paid from the MGNREGS fund.
• Each seasonal altar has two rooms and two bathrooms, covering 2,046 square feet.
• Electricity and tap water will be provided in addition.
• There will be 2,462 rural altars and 139 urban altars.
• For 24 units, donors have come in to shoulder the entire cost.
• Donors have provided land for 139 units.

• The applicant must be a farmer by occupation
• The applicant must have a valid bank account number
• The applicant must have a working mobile number
