The state government has laid great emphasis on the welfare of women and children in the state. Over the past 10 years, a number of programs have been launched that have transformed the livelihoods and health services.
Often referred to as KCR, the chief minister decided to launch the program as a showcase of Dasar’s gifts and humanitarian attitude.
He was touched by the parents of students who left their homes early in the morning to work as agricultural labourers. In addition, he opted to extend the breakfast program to high school boys by sending a team of IAS officers to study it in Tamil Nadu.
After launching the breakfast program to assess the programme, CM KCR sent a team to Tamil Nadu. KCR decided to extend the scheme to high school students when it was being implemented for children in classes I to 5 in Tamil Nadu.

The main objective of the scheme is to ensure that no youth comes to school hungry, especially those whose parents work as farm laborers and are unable to feed their children breakfast According to KCR, the scheme will help children get healthy food as well who can concentrate on their schoolwork.
