The plan calls for the construction of about 51,369 agricultural ponds. For the implementation of the Magel Tyala Shettale Scheme, the government has allocated Rs. 204 crore is available.

Along with that, this state government has also instituted a law that every agricultural pond must be geo-tagged so that the operation can be monitored. So far, around 2,83,620 applications have been submitted to the Maharashtra state government for construction of dams in agricultural areas.
