Previously, the bride and groom had to physically register their marriage with the official marriage offices, but now they can do it online.

The Karnataka government has launched a website called “Kaveri Online Service” for marriage certificates.

This platform will also bring the state’s transition to digitization one step closer Government of Karnataka and Department of Stamp Registration have developed a web-based application called Kaveri Online Service.

Needy citizens of the country can access various forms of assistance through this website. In 2018, the Cauvery online service portal was launched in Karnataka.

Requirement for Karnataka Marriage Certificate

• The marriage certificate will serve as proof that the bride wants to change her name on every document.
• Citizen can use their marriage certificate for life insurance, if needed.

Eligibility for Karnataka Marriage Certificate

• The groom must be at least 21 years of age to register for marriage.
• The bride must be at least 18 years old before she can apply for marriage.
• The couple must be residents of Karnataka, India.

Required Document for Registration of Marriage

• Completed application form personally signed by the groom and groom.
• Revelation announcing the bride’s name change.
• Marriage Certificate (Original Certificate) .
• Two passport-sized photos of the bride and groom.

• One of the spouses must have of government-issued address proof.

Karnataka Marriage Certificate Online Application Process

• Candidates must first visit the official website to register.

• If you are a new user, complete the registration process first.
• To do so, click on the “Register as a New User” link.
• Your screen will display a registration form, where you can enter your name, gender, address, phone number, and other information.
• When you click the “Register” button, your registered mobile phone will receive a notification to log in.
• Log in now and fill out the “Wedding Registration Certificate” with information about the bride and groom.
• Submit an application.
• Applicants then have to stamp the acknowledgment form giving the pair’s provisional number.
• Get a physical copy of the form, and you must bring the required witnesses and original documents to the registry on the date specified.
• The couple must then sign the marriage certificate with a witness.
• The husband and wife will get the Karnataka marriage certificate in no time.

Offline Process of Applying for Karnataka Marriage Certificate

• Candidates should first obtain a marriage application form from the relevant official website.
• Now, you need to fill out all your details in the application form carefully.
• The Karnataka marriage application form should be accompanied by scanned copies of the desired certificates.
• The next step is for the applicants to submit the filled form and verified details to the nearest Deputy Registrar’s office.
• Candidates will be given a specific time and date for notice at the office along with original documents and witnesses. This information will be provided by higher authorities.
• Upon arrival, sign a marriage certificate at the registrar’s office.
• The couple will receive two copies of the certificate from the authorities and the rest will be sent to the office for records.
