Ayushman Asom – Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana:- Assam’s new healthcare system is a prime example of a two-engine government. The aim of Ayushman Bharat was to provide healthcare to all citizens.

The Assam government today launched Ayushman Asom to expand its reach. Under both schemes, 56 lakh families will get cashless insurance up to Rs 5 lakh. Read below for details on the plan.

Ayushman Asom – The Prime Minister’s Jan Arogya Yojana is a revolutionary healthcare scheme for Assamese citizens. On the second year of the rule, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma launched Ayushman Assam Yojana under Chief Minister Jan Arogya in Guwahati.

While this scheme is similar to the central government’s Ayushman Bharat scheme, it will cover medical expenses for all types of diseases differently. Every eligible family member in cross-border institutions across the country will get cashless treatment up to Rs 5 lakh.

• According to Assam CM Himanat Vishwa Sarma, the program will be offered in more than 300 hospitals.
• The beneficiaries of the scheme will be registered in accordance with the National Food Security Act.
• “Under this scheme, the participants will get services in all the hospitals run by AB and PMJ across the country, including over 300 hospitals in Assam.
• According to Sarma, the scheme will cover 2.6 lakh beneficiary families.
• The government has also launched e-KYC for NFSA benefits under AB-PMJA and AA-MMJAY.

Benefits of Ayushman Asom – Mukhya Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana

• The scheme will provide medical coverage up to Rs 5 lakh per family.
• The beneficiaries under this scheme will get services in all AB and PMJ impaneled institutions across the country, including over 300 hospitals in Assam
• According to Sarma, the program will generate income for about 2.6 lakh participating families.

Eligibility Criteria for Ayushman Asom – Mukhya Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana

• Holders of Aadhaar card
• Those who are not enrolled in Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) are eligible for this scheme.

As per the scheme recently announced by Assam CM, the offline and online process of direct government is not such an application process, nor is there any website launched by Assam government that they have not yet applied for process the.
