West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has launched the West Bengal Students Credit Card Scheme. It was decided to launch the scheme at a meeting of the State Cabinet held on June 24, 2021.

Under the scheme, students studying in class X or above can borrow up to Rs million 10 for high school. This loan is available for those with very low interest rates. Students will be issued a credit card to avail these loans.
