West Bengal Health Scheme:- West Bengal Government has launched West Bengal Health Scheme (WBHS) to provide cashless medical treatment to state government employees, All India Services (AIS) employees and pensioners.

Benefits & Features of West Bengal Health Scheme

1. You are eligible for reimbursement for inpatient care in all hospitals of West Bengal affiliated to the state. Twelve selected hospitals outside West Bengal also provide treatment.
2. Cashless hospitalization worth up to Rs.1000 while receiving treatment in a recognized hospital. 1.5 lakh for each internal treatment.
3. Calculate the cost of treating seventeen diseases as listed in the WBHS policy section.
4. At the affiliated hospital, the beneficiary is eligible for cashless inpatient allowance up to Rs. 1 lakh is available.
5. Depending on your waiting time and other plan requirements, you may be eligible for reimbursement for your outpatient services. This includes routine medical expenses and preventive care to promote well-being

Eligibility Criteria for West Bengal Health Scheme 2024

• State government employees, their families and retired government employees eligible for pension benefits.
• These funds are also available for Indian Services and police retirees.
• Those who choose this plan with their medical bills are also eligible to use it.
• Family coverage includes coverage for parents, spouses, dependent children, and dependent siblings of beneficiaries

WB Health Scheme Objective

The main objective of the West Bengal Health Policy is to improve healthcare options for the state government employees. The eligible beneficiaries of this scheme are entitled to reimbursement of expenses incurred for admission of patients in affiliated hospitals in West Bengal and certain affiliated hospitals outside the State.

Steps to Apply for West Bengal Health Scheme as a Government Employee

• First of all, go to the official website of the West Bengal Health Scheme i.e., https://wbhealthscheme.gov.in/
• The homepage of the website will open
• Click on the Online Enrolment tab
• Now, click on the Government Employee option
• A new page will open
• Now enter the Date of entry into Govt. Service, PRAN/GPF number
• Then, click on the OK button
• The application form will open
• Now, fill in the form with all the required details like personal details, address details, contact number, date of birth, district, and employee number
• Then, click on the continue button
• After that, upload your photograph and click on the Save button to complete the process
• Finally, take the print out of the application form for future reference
