Objectives of Tamil Nadu CM Thayumanavar Scheme
Over the next two years, the Thayumanavar scheme which is named after a Tamil poet and saint—aims to elevate roughly five lakh of the state’s poorest households out of poverty. In the budget for 2024–2025, the Tamil Nadu government additionally allotted Rs 27,992 crore for the program.
