Objective Of Suryashakti Kisan Yojana
The main objective of the Suryashakti Kisan Yojana is to provide a power supply for irrigation to the farmers. Through this scheme, solar panels will be set up on the farm so that farmers will get proper irrigation facilities.
Other than that farmers can also sell the leftover generated electricity to the government which will help them in generating additional income. Implementation of this scheme will ensure 12 hours of power supply during the daytime.

About Suryashakti Kisan Yojana 2024
The Government of Gujarat has launched Suryashakti Kisan Yojana. Through this program, farmers can use solar panels on their farms to generate their own electricity and double their income.
Farmers can also sell surplus electricity they produce to the government through the grid.
To implement this scheme, the state and central governments will provide 60% subsidy to the farmers for the project(installation of solar panel) and 30% of the project cost will be given to the farmers with one running balance loan at 4.5% to 6% interest rate.
The total duration of this scheme will be 25 years which will be split between 7 year period and 18 year period. Under the scheme, farmers will be provided a unit rate of Rs 7 for the first 7 years and a unit rate of Rs 3.5 for each unit for the remaining 18 years.
Around 12400 farmers of 33 districts will benefit from this scheme. Other than that this scheme will also ensure 12 hours of power supply during the daytime.
