The project “Startup Odisha” spearheaded by the Odisha state government aims to create a “startup hub” in the state of the country at par with the best in the world through its theme “new wave of innovation”.
An initiative by the MSME Department of the Government of Odisha, Startup Odisha, aims to encourage ideas and innovations of aspiring entrepreneurs. It offers a range of services and products ranging from world-class products to the most advanced technologies.

- Support will be provided to entrepreneurs. Accredited and eligible startups will get a monthly allowance of Rs. 20,000 in his registered bank account. These funds will initially be disbursed in the first three months of the company’s current existence. Payments will begin 15 days after the end of the three-month period and will continue for one year.
- Startups can get help by offering a product development plan. If accepted, some of the grants will be disbursed upfront, with the remainder deposited into the startup’s bank account. 15 lakh will be provided.

- To be eligible, the date of organization/registration must be less than five years old.
- The annual income of the institutions did not exceed Rs. 25 crore in each of these financial years.
- The group focuses on the pursuit of innovation/development, and the implementation or commercialization of new products, processes, or services that are powered by technology or intellectual property, and make them scalable for commercial success
- The organization is registered in Odisha and employs at least 50 per cent of the qualified workforce in the state.
- The Company is not an extension of an existing family business nor was it created through the breakup or reorganization of an existing family business.
