All eligible scholarships will be provided under Jaganna Vasthi Divena Yojana. All poor students will be given scholarships as the government wants to help students pursue all courses of their choice irrespective of any profession or part-time job.

The scholarships will help students continue their education and become successful people in the future. The government uses the funds as soon as possible.

Implementation Of Jagananna Vasathi Deevena

The scheme will be implemented in the state of Andhra Pradesh soon. The inauguration of the program was held on 24 February 2020 in Vizia. A budget of Rs 2,300 crore was finalized for this scheme.

The plan distributions are paid directly to the beneficiary’s mother. In the absence of the beneficiary’s mother, the funds will be transferred directly to the legal guardian’s bank account.

Objectives Of Vasathi Deevana Scheme

The ultimate goal after the implementation of the policy is to reduce the number of students who have dropped out of high school. Their number of beneficiaries in different classes in different cities is mentioned below:- .

• The largest number of ITI students who benefit are from East Godavari (6,828).
• The lowest number of meritorious ITI students is from Nellore ( 2,057). Third, the number of polytechnic students who benefit are black (14,903).
• The lowest number of polytechnic students gaining marginally is from Nellore (3,334).
• The highest number of degree PG students came from Chittoor with 1,22,219 beneficiaries and Vijinagaram with 52,944 beneficiaries.

Incentives Under Jagananna Vasathi Deevena

The scheme provides a range of benefits to eligible students:

• Tuition fee and hostel fee for students pursuing degree and engineering courses will be covered, with Rs. 20,000 per year provided.
• Students studying in welfare hostels will be exempted from mess charges.
• Money incentives are provided as follows:
  • Rs. 15,000 for polytechnic students
  • Rs. 10,000 for ITI students
  • Rs. 20,000 for graduate degree and other courses

Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Eligibility Criteria

To enroll under the Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Government job employees are not eligible.
• Individuals availing pension or having family members availing pension are not eligible.
• Sanitary workers are exempted from the scheme.
• Eligible courses include polytechnic, ITI, and degree programs.
• The institution must be government or government-aided, or affiliated with state universities/boards.
• The family’s annual income should be less than Rs. 2.5 lakh per annum.
• Beneficiaries should own wetland below 10 acres, agricultural land below 25 acres, or wetland and agricultural land combined below 25 acres.
• Beneficiaries should not own any four-wheelers (car, taxi, auto, etc.).
