On May 26, 2021, West Bengal was hit by a very strong cyclone called Yas. The storm wreaked havoc in several regions of the country. So the government of West Bengal has brought the TRAN scheme at the doorstep of West Bengal.
Through this initiative, the government is going to provide relief to the people of the country affected by Cyclone Yaa.
The scheme will be implemented in all the affected areas of South 24 Parganas, North 24 Parganas, East Medinipur, West Medinipur and Howrah districts.
Besides, the affected areas in North 24 Parganas, Birbhum and Hooghly districts will also be covered under this scheme.
In order to provide benefits of this scheme, the government is going to conduct outreach programmes/camps in the affected areas so that eligible citizens can avail benefits under this scheme through their applications which will be raised.
These camps will begin at 10 a.m. and continue till 4 p.m.To avail this scheme, beneficiaries must submit an application form along with all required documents.
The government has also established a dedicated mechanism for the transparent monitoring, coordination and execution of activities under this scheme
