Banglar Awas Yojana List:- In order to provide pukka houses to all the citizens of West Bengal, the Government of West Bengal has launched Banglar Housing Scheme. The schemes include Indira Awas Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana.

Banglar Awas Yojana List 2023(বাংলার আবাস যোজনার তালিকা)

The West Bengal government has launched Banglar Awas Yojana List to provide pukka houses with basic facilities to all homeless households and those living in dilapidated kucha houses.Under this scheme, 1 lakh households living in kutcha houses will be created cost in 3 years ie. from 17 to 2018-19.

Previously the minimum house size was 20 sqm which has now been increased to 25 sqm with clean kitchen area.

Besides, the unit subsidy has been increased from Rs 7,000 to Rs 1.20 lakh in open areas and from Rs 75,000 to Rs 1.30 lakh in hilly areas, dense areas and IAP districts. Under this scheme, the beneficiary is entitled to 90.95 days of skilled labor from MGNREGA

Objective Of Banglar Awas Yojana

The main objective of the Banglar Awas Yojana List is to provide pukka houses to those citizens who do not have houses of their own or live in dilapidated kutcha houses.

Implementing this scheme, the government is going to give them financial assistance so that they can construct or convert their houses

This scheme is going to improve the livelihood of the beneficiaries. Otherwise, the beneficiary will also be dependent. Through the benefit transfer method, financial assistance will be deposited directly into the beneficiary’s account.

Some Important Details Regarding Banglar Awas Yojana

• Assistance for the construction of toilets under the Banglar Awas Yojana List is provided by mobilizing SBMG, MNREGAS, or any other dedicated funds
• The beneficiaries will get connected piped drinking water, electricity connection and LPG gas connection under various government schemes
• Under this scheme, the cost of grants to the units will be shared between the central and state governments in the ratio of 60:40 for common areas and 90:10 for eastern and northern Himalayan states
• Under the plan, 90% of the amount is going to be paid to the state government leaving 4% to be allocated for administrative expenses
• At the intermediate level, a maximum of 5% of the budget will be kept as reserves for special projects
• The annual appropriation to the state based on the annual work plan shall be approved by the empowered committee
• The money will be made available to the state in two equal tranches
• The financial assistance will be deposited directly into the beneficiary’s bank account
