Eligibility Criteria for Scheme

• The petitioner is permanently residing in Assam.
• The age of the applicant should be between 45 and 60 years (for Indira Miri Universal Widow’s Pension).
• Indira Gandhi National Widows Pension has no age limit; Only widows can apply.
• The applicant should be an APL or BPL card holder in good standing.
• The client may not receive financial support from relatives.

Features of Indira Gandhi Nation Widow Pension

• Assam widows will get Rs. 300 from the Government of India as part of the Indira Gandhi National Widow’s Pension.
• This is for BPL widows only.

Features of Indira Mir Universal Widow Pension

• All the widows of Assam will benefit and their financial needs will be met.
• More than 40,000 national families will benefit as part of the emergency family assistance programme.
• The beneficiaries will receive Rs. From 45 years, it is 250 per month up to 60 years in addition to one-time maintenance.
• Both BPL (Below Poverty Line) card holders and APL (Above Poverty Line) card holders will benefit from this, so this will benefit both groups.
