Pay the Stamp Duty in AP Stamps & Registration

There is no single option for payment of stamp duty in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Stamp duty can be paid by issuing stamps at the office or by using a franking machine.

At the office, you have the option of paying your stamp duty by cash, money order, or even a credit or debit card. If you use a franking machine, you have to pay a fee at the checkpoint.

On the official website of IGRS AP, you will find a list of places where you can buy stamps and franking products. You will then be taken to a new web page, where you can select the Registration Board from the menu on another page and display the list.

Process of AP Stamps & Registration

  • Look at property values.

  • Bring all documents to the sub-office. The SRO generates checkslips based on PDES data.
  • The officer then fills the E-KYC form and obtains the fingerprints of the persons registering. The Aadhaar database would also check the fingerprints.
  • If the Aadhaar card check is cancelled, the applicant has to pay the stamp fee, registration fee and other required fees.
  • The Clerk then issues the document to the parties and stamps it and records the names of the acknowledged parties by thumbprinting the document and the Register.
  • The registered document is then scanned and sent to a server which the customer can access through the portal.
  • If the certification is unsuccessful, the applicant must make the necessary amendments and resubmit the application.

AP Stamps & Registration Refund

For online stamp duty refunds, the maximum limit is 6 months.10% of the total stamp duty due will be refunded following a request within 6 months.

Party seeking refund of stamp duty remitted to District Collector/Deputy Collector/Deputy Collector/RDO/Tehsildar. The sub-registrars will verify the invoice and receipt and issue a certificate. The balance is refunded on the basis of S.R. The certificate, is less than 10% of the total postage tax.
