Verification Guidelines for New Mobile Subscribers
- A photo, proof of identity (POI), and proof of address (POA) must be included with the CAF form submitted at the SIM point of sale.
- To acknowledge the transaction, provide the customer’s name, date of issue, cell number, POI, POA and POS stamp.
- By comparing the copy of the form with the actual proof of identity and address documents, the SIM point of sale representative will verify that the copy of the customer matches the one on file
- The new SIM will be activated after the network operator who issued the license has updated all client data in the database and confirmed that all documents have been verified and stored there
- The employee working at the point of sale has to verify the customer’s signature in addition to verifying the customer’s signature, besides entering the date of sale and ordering the mobile SIM in the database
- Once you have activated your mobile number, call customer service to complete the remote verification process and provide your address and proof of identity.
- Please note that selling an active SIM card will result in the lock of the SIM and a fine of Rs 50,000.

- If your phone number is not linked to your Aadhaar, you will receive the notification; your mobile number is not enrolled in our records.
How to Connect Your Phone Number to Aadhaar
- You can download the Aadhaar update/correction form from the UIDAI website or pick it up at your neighbourhood Aadhaar centre.
- Fill out the form with the required details, and attach a copy of your Aadhar card and a picture ID (passport, PAN card, voter ID, etc.).
- At the Aadhaar Centre, complete the form so that your biometrics and demographic information may be verified.
- You will receive an acknowledgement slip and have your cellphone number linked to Aadhaar in a few days.
