Objectives of Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhayahastam

The scheme’s goal is to give Telangana candidates for the Civil Services financial aid. To empower and uplift Telangana’s youth, the Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhayahastam offers financial assistance to those who aspire to become civil servants.

The objective of this program is to eliminate financial obstacles that impede gifted people from realizing their aspirations of becoming civil servants.

After a candidate passes the preliminary exam, the program provides financial support through Singareni Collieries to help them prepare for the main examination.

Benefits of Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhayahastam Scheme 2024

Around 400 candidates from Telangana state who make it to Mains every year will benefit from the scheme.
Those entering the Mains will get ₹1 lakh to help them prepare.
The grants will be provided by Singreni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) as part of its “build” campaign.
It will encourage more youth from Telangana to enroll in civil service and increase their representation.
It will help candidates overcome financial constraints so that they can concentrate on their studies without interruption.
It will also encourage the training of competent and committed public officials who can advance the welfare of the country.
Across the country, an estimated 1.4 million candidates can appear for the Civil Services preliminary examination every year, with more than 50,000 candidates from Telangana alone Usually there are 400–500 Telangana candidates the first test is passed from this group.

Eligibility Criteria for Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhayahastam

The applicant should be from Telangana state.
The scheme is open to candidates belonging to one of the following categories: Women, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Castes, OBCs, or Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).
The annual income of the family cannot exceed Rs 8 lakh.
The candidate must have cleared the UPSC Preliminary Examination.
Candidates holding full-time positions in central, state or local government agencies are not eligible.
Applicants who have already benefited from this program are not eligible to apply again.
Applicants are allowed to use the financial aid only once to pass the Civil Service Examination
