Prochesta Scheme:- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced a new scheme to benefit all Bengalis, especially the daily wage earners who are unable to earn a living due to lockdown.

The West Bengal government has been providing that ever-needed support to the people of the state like the daily wage earners of the state. The Chief Minister of West Bengal has also announced a cash bonus of Rs 1,000 for all employees.

With the number of cases now on the rise, the chief minister urged the people of the state to stay at home and cooperate with the government during the lockdown.

Objective Of Prochesta Scheme

The main objective of this scheme is to ensure that daily wage workers who are unable to get their salaries due to lockdown across the country were announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday.

Through the implementation of the scheme more benefits will be provided to the workers of West Bengal. especially the availability of financial aid.

The workers had to lead their lives without working because everything is closed due to corona virus. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has come out to help all those people in need.

Benefits Of Prochesta Scheme

• The Chief Minister had offered free Rs 2 rice at Corona airport.
• In this case, all employees involved in emergency operations will be granted special post-service leave.
• The private sector availability will be reduced to 5 per cent.
• A national emergency fund is being set up to help with the coronavirus.
• Financial assistance of Rs 1,000 will be given to those working in the unorganized sector

Prochesta Scheme Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant should be a resident of West Bengal
• The applicant must be a daily wage labourer/ earner/ worker who is the sole bread winner of the family
• The applicant shall not be entitled to the benefits of any social program of the State
• Only one person from the family is eligible
• The applicant must not have any other income

Application Procedure Of Prochesta Scheme

• Applicants can apply for the scheme by obtaining the Application Form free of cost through
• Office of District Magistrate or offices designated by the district magistrate
• Office of Commissioner of Kolkata Municipal corporation
• Fill the application form with the details such as

Approval & Benefit Transfer

• Once the application is verified, it is approved by the BDO in rural areas, SDO in urban areas and District Magistrate with the approval of Commissioner KMC in KMC areas.
• Approved applications are sent to the nodal department.
• The nodal department will transfer the funds to the accounts of the beneficiaries

• From the opened page go to “Prachesta” and click on “Download” option
• Prochesta Prokolpo telephone
• A new web page will appear on the screen from where you have to click “download the android app”.
• Install on your mobile phone and open the app
• Register with your mobile number

Payment Procedure of Prochesta Scheme

• First of all, apply
• The application will then go through preliminary screening and verification
• Verification is done by the District Collector/ Commissioner of Kolkata Municipal Corporation
• The application forms will then be sent to the respective banks for payment.

Mode of Payment

The beneficiaries will get a benefit of Rs. 1000/- directly into their bank account. The nodal department will approve the application only after submission after verification. The nodal department will send the files of the beneficiaries directly to the concerned banks for payment.
