Jai Johar Bandhu Prakalpa: West Bengal’s New Year Budget was presented by West Bengal Finance Minister yesterday.

The Jai Johar Scheme has been launched for the benefit of Scheduled Tribe people residing in West Bengal. We all know the position of the socially backward sections of the society.

Some of them are economically poor and unable to carry out daily life due to low level of wealth. By implementing the scheme, all socially backward residents will gain respect and live happily in the near future.

Incentives Under Jai Johar Bandhu Prakalpa Scheme

• 1000 per month will be paid as pension to the beneficiaries under the Jai Johar scheme.
• 1000 per month will be paid as pension to the beneficiaries under the Bandhu Project Scheme.
• The state government has also proposed to do away with agricultural income tax on tea gardens in the next two financial years
• free electricity for customers who use up to 75 units of electricity every three months.

Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant should be a resident of West Bengal.
• In Jai Johar Scheme, the applicant must be a member of Scheduled Tribe category.
• An applicant in the Bandhu Project Scheme should be a member of SC category.
• Applicant must be 60 years of age.
